That is right, I was arrested, indicted,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], schlepped around downtown Brooklyn in handcuffs, and thrown into a squad car and treated like a common criminal. I was then taken to central booking,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], finger printed and thrown in a holding cell with some guy that looked like the incredible hulk who had tattoos all over him.
And while sitting in that holding cell,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I came to some conclusions that my life would never be the same and my business would never be the same. As they say, good news travels fast but bad news travels even faster. To my clients and customers, I was treated like plague. Nobody wanted to deal with me anymore. And I had to figure out what I was going to do and how I was going to continue to market my services so that I could still provide for my family.
Sometimes it takes something tragic to occur before you get off your rear end and start the process of generating overwhelming success. For some it is an injury or accident. For others it involves falling flat on your face and failing at something. For me it was my unfortunate brush with the law.
They say that money cannot buy you happiness. We all know that money cannot buy you love. But I heard or read somewhere that money can buy you your freedom. I'm a true witness to this statement because I had to spend thousands of dollars in order to keep my freedom. What I had to endure I do not wish on my worst enemy. But I know I am a better person because of this expereince. And I am without a doubt a much better business professional due to these circumstances.
