China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 600050.SH; 00762.HK) and Suning Corp., China‘s leading household appliances chain retailer, announced on Thursday they are to cooperate on phone services.

China Unicom has authorized Suning to act as agent to sell its 3G, 2G,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], broadband access, and fixed-phone services, and Suning will set up special zones for selling terminal products and offering services of the carrier in all stores across China.

According to the agreement between China Unicom and Suning, they will launch comprehensive cooperation in service outlet establishment, 3G terminal product sales, service management, and market promotion.
