Hiking to the Great Gallery Pictograph Panel
There is a parking lot at the end off the spur road and primitive camping is available here; there are no toilet facilities. The track starts where the vehicle barrier is seen, a steel cable strung between two poles. The 1st part of the trail descends into Horseshoe Canyon, a few hundred vertical feet beneath. This is the most strenuous part of the hike, mostly on the way back up. At the bottom of this mound, the trail enters a clean and follows it for the leftover of the hike. Depending on weather conditions the clean can be anything from soft dirt to easily hiked packed surface to a stream, so be ready for whichever of the conditions you may encounter. Several pictograph sites and Indian mars are seen for one hikes up the canyon. The Great Gallery is the farthest from the trailhead, about 3 miles up the canyon.

From the Town of Green River, Utah drive west on I-70 because approximately 6 miles towards the San Rafeal Swell.
