| R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., the maker of such brands as Camel and Pall Mall,marlboro cigarettes, is generally rejecting a low percentage of burley being brought in so far, said company spokesman David Howard.
"Every year,marlboro cigarettes wholesale, based on our standards, we do have some leaf that's rejected," he said. "This year,wholesale marlboro cigarettes, we have not had any more tobacco rejected than in the past." Matthew L. Myers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids said in a statement that the decision will allow "any manufacturer to put any level of nicotine in any product and sell it to anybody, including children, with no government regulation or oversight at the present time." "This ruling invites the creation of a wild west of products containing highly addictive nicotine,cheap marlboro cigarettes," Myers said,newport cigarettes, urging the FDA to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court. American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown also voiced concern over the ruling. |
